MP287 error code P08 after INK REFILLING …. has been solved and revealed by me

Last day I want to copy a document with my printer canon series MP287, but the ink cartridge low. So the result is not good (bad result). Then I decided to refill the black ink cartridge with 3 ml manual injection method for 4 times (12 ml). After this I clean the cartridge by tissue to drop down over refill black ink. Then I placed the black ink cartridge again. I hope that will be fine (no problem).

MP287 error code P08 after INK REFILLING …. I try to printing next document, but error is “code E13”, and appearing a new window with error 5200, then shutdown the printer and restart but the code was still appear, but with a new code “P08”, with a little nervous I try to find a solution on the internet, but nothing solution find. I replace with original cartridge but nothing chance. I have tried with combine a software service tools and try something but still error. With a little frustration I left this printer and just try to relax for a moment with condition cartridge black was empty. Next day I want to repair it again with extreme mode (by open the case of printer)

  1. REFILL THE BLACK CARTRIDGE (only 3 ml) – I think may be the empty condition will caused a termal problem “error P08”
  2. OPEN A DOCUMENT THEN “PRINT/PRINT/PROPERTIES/INK CARTRIDGE SETTING/BLACK ONLY/OK”
  3. ACTIVATED THE MAINTENANCE MODE BY :
    1. PRESS RESET/STOP BUTTON (DON’T RELEASE)
    2. PRESS POWER BUTTON (DON’T RELEASE)
    3. RELEASE RESET/STOP BUTTON (PRESS IT “TWICE”)
    4. GIVE A DELAY (3 SECOND)
    5. RELEASE RESET/STOP BUTTON (PRESS IT “4 TIMES” AGAIN)
  4. THEN ACTIVATE SOFTWARE SERVICE TOOL FOR CANON AND DO :
    1. PRINT BY “TEST PRINT” BUTTON – FINE FUNCTION
    2. PRINT BY “EEPROM” BUTTON – FINE FUNCTION
    3. PRINT BY “NOZZLE CHECK” BUTTON – FINE FUNCTION
    4. CLEAR INK COUNTER BY “MAIN” BUTTON – FINE FUNCTION
    5. OPERATION BY “EEPROM CLEAR” BUTTON – ALARM AND POWER LED WAS BLINKING
  5. SHUTDOWN THE PRINTER AND RESTART AGAIN
  6. REACTIVATED SOFTWARE SERVICE TOOL FOR CANON AND DO :
    1. PRINT BY “TEST PRINT” BUTTON – FINE FUNCTION
    2. PRINT BY “EEPROM” BUTTON – FINE FUNCTION
    3. PRINT BY “NOZZLE CHECK” BUTTON – FINE FUNCTION
    4. CLEAR INK COUNTER BY “MAIN” BUTTON – FINE FUNCTION
    5. OPERATION BY “EEPROM CLEAR” BUTTON – ALARM AND POWER LED WAS BLINKING AGAIN
  7. SHUTDOWN THE PRINTER AND RESTART AGAIN
  8. TRY TO PRINT A DOCUMENT – ERROR CODE “E13” AND ALARM, COLOR INK AND BLACK INK LED WAS BLINKING
  9. PRESS RESET/STOP A MOMENT UNTIL “MOVING A ROUND LED CODE”
  10. ERROR CODE “E13” AGAIN AND BLACK INK LED WAS BLINKING
  11. PRESS RESET/STOP A MOMENT UNTIL “MOVING A ROUND LED CODE”
  12. LED CODE “1” – READY TO PRINT
  13. TRY TO PRINT A DOCUMENT – PRINTER WAS PREPARED AND LOOK LIKE “DEEP CLEANING” MODE

THEN A DOCUMENT HAS PRINTED NORMALLY ……. OH THANKS GOD ……..

SUMMARY :
ALL ACCIDENT THAT MAKES ALL A PROBLEM “P08 CODE” CAUSED BY :

  • OVER REFILL A BLACK CARTRIDGE
  • PRINTER WANT TO TRY A CLEANING CARTRIDGE UNTIL “EMPTY” CONDITION

SO AFTER THIS SITUATION I TRY TO REFILL A CARTRIDGE BY CAREFULLY ESPECIALLY NO MORE THEN ONE TIME REFILL (3-6 ml) …… AND MAY BE YOU FIND A VARIANCE RESULT DEPEND ON PRINTER CONDITION …….
